Approach to Therapy
I approach therapy with curiosity and compassion, aiming to forge a meaningful connection that feels both safe and empowering for my clients. Together, we'll embark on a journey of exploration, looking inward to uncover insights and paths forward. We celebrate your strengths and try to be compassionate towards patterns that you'd like to change.
While I draw from various therapeutic approaches and theories (such as Internal Family Systems therapy, attachment theory & CBT), I anchor my practice in the relational and person-centred stance. This means that I believe that the most powerful tool in my arsenal as a therapist is my ‘human-ness’ and I value my relationship with my client over any other intervention or technique I may use.
Our work together is rooted in the strong, trusting relationship we build together. I believe strongly in the power of genuine human connection to facilitate meaningful change. As such, I'm committed to bringing my 'human-ness' into the therapeutic space, honoring the unique journey of each client and their agency, while also drawing from my own experiences.
